Abstract:

In order to study the relationship between locus of control and anxiety, a sample of non-indigenous medical students at Tehran University of Medical Sciences were requested to fill out Rotter's questionnaire of locus of control and Speilberger's anxiety checklist. A positive correlation was found to exist between locus of control and obvious/ hidden anxiety, which signified significant relationship. The subjects were, at the outset, divided into five groups: external, almost external, halfway, almost internal and internal loci of control; then, their anxiety were compared in groups of two. A significant difference was observed between all groups as far as their anxiety was concerned. Therefore, the more external the locus of control, the more anxiety will be experienced

Abstract:

The locus of control is one of the personality features that affects many behavioral aspects of both headmasters and their staff the primary purpose of this research was to compare job stress in school headmasters with internal and external locus of control. The participants were 120 school headmasters (58 males & 62 females) from different grades in torbat_e_Jam, that were selected by strafified random sampling rutters, locus of control and job stress questionnaire, (Gasamei, 1377) were instruments of this research. The data showed that there was no significant difference between the rate of Job stress and internal, external locus of control among school headmasters. Also, there was no significant difference in the rate of job stress between male & female school headmasters and there was no interaction between gender and locus of control in school headmaster’s job stress. But results showed that there was a significant difference between stress among school headmasters with more and different experiences. School headmasters having more than 10 years of experience showed less job stress than their counterparts with less than 5 years.

Abstract:

The Aim of this Research is Study of Relationship of locus of control (Internal-external) with Loneliness Feeling in Athlete and Non Athlete Girls. 60 Girl Athlete students of University Sport Teams and 160 Non Athlete students in Range of 19-26 years old were considered as subjects. UCLA Questionnaire for measuring Lone lines for measuring loneliness Feeling, and the Leven son Questionnaire (I, P, C) for locus of control. T test for in depended qroupes and Pearson correlation coefficient for analizing data was used. Results showed that there is Significant Difference between Athlete and Non Athlete Students in Loneliness Feeling (p=0.001). And there is Significant Difference between Athlete and Non Athlete Students in Internal locus of control, Athletes Benefit (p=0.001). There is Significant Difference between Athlete and Non Athlete Students in external locus of control, (Chance Tendency) Athlete Benefit (p=0.001). There is no Significant Difference between Athlete and Non Athlete Students in external locus of control, (Powerful People Tendency) (p=0.198). There is Positive and significant relationship between Loneliness Feeling with the Internal and external locus of control. The Significant Difference of Internal locus of control between Two Groups, Shows athlete Students have more control on their Life, and are more Responsible about there success and failure. It seems that Non athletes attribute the reasons of their life events to others. Reasons to others, the relationship between lonediness feeling and locus of control means that nonathletic with external locus of control, having less control on their life attitude, feel more loneliness. Significant difference between two groups in loneliness feeling, confirms the social psychological useful effects of sport activities.

Statistical society include of all individuals with diabetes 2 and normal individuals in Shahrekord city. Research sampling include 100 (50 patients with diabetes 2 and 50 normal individuals) that sampling by available sampling method. Used instrument is Levinson locus of control questionnaire. Results: Result indicated there were significantly different in internal locus of control (f=8.64, p=0.006) between two group (patients with diabetes 2 and normal individuals). Also there were significantly different in external locus of control (f=19.08, p=0.001) between two group. Conclusion: The results of the Study show the extroversion of contrain point of diabetic patients, because of many health problems.

Abstract:

This study aimed to investigate the relationships between driver locus of control and risky behaviors, as well as traffic violations and accidents. Participants in this study were 289 male and 116 female drivers who completed a form including the newly developed Iranian Driver Traffic locus of control Questionnaire (TLOC-IR), Driver Behaviour Questionnaire (DBQ), and items related to drivers’ driving records and demographics. The results of structural equation modeling (SEM) showed that most components of the locus of control, except for the sub-section of religious factors and other drivers, have a significant relationship with driving behavior. According to the results of this study, the internal locus of control has a negative relationship with various types of violations and driving errors, and on the other hand, the components of the external locus of control, including luck and destiny, have a positive relationship with more risky driving behavior and accidents. These findings indicate that locus of control is an effective variable in predicting the behavior of Iranian drivers and can be used to determine effective strategies to reduce high-risk driving. According to the results of this study, drivers with internal locus of control show safer behaviors than drivers with external locus of control; Therefore, strengthening the internal locus of control in drivers can lead to safer driving behaviors.

Abstract:

Present research is done for inspecting the reasons that cause further return of addicts to addiction in work therapy and reforming camping of Zanjan Province with the aim of recognition control source (internal & external) in those who have again return and also know the reasons and causes of effective factors in further return to addiction in 1381-82. Sample include 271 addict persons who return again. The manner of research is correlation which itself is a kind of descriptive measurement investigation by using of two questionnaires. The first questionnaire is on the basis of internal and external factors.Scale is used to determine information which is related to the basis of further tendency into addiction according theoretical grounds and hypothesis and for information analysis is used from descriptive statistical method.Findings of this research show: 77/2 percent of studied society have external control source. The most further return to addiction occur in 20-37 years which is approximately 39 percent and from this amount, 27 percent consist people who have internal control source. It is observed that further return in those people who are married is more than single people, and also there is most amount of further return among people who have less education and have internal control source rather than who have external control source. The average of further return period to addiction is 7 months and 19 days in studied society, and seperately, people who have internal control source, it is 3 to 10 days and those who have external control source, it is 6 months and 24 days.
